Episode Overview

Gareth’s estranged father unexpectedly visits the restaurant, mocking the high-end French cuisine of Le Chateau and goading Gareth into hosting a 'Jamaican Cuisine' night. This presents a dilemma for Gareth, who, despite his Jamaican upbringing, is trained in European and French cooking and lacks experience with Jamaican dishes. Reluctantly, he turns to Everton, who has worked at a family Jamaican takeout, for assistance. While Everton helps him with the menu, he stubbornly keeps the secret ingredient for his Uncle’s renowned dumplings to himself. When Gareth’s father shows up for Jamaica Night, he declares he’ll dine at a nearby curry house instead.
