As the invading forces advance towards Rome, they intercept a pregnant Lucrezia attempting to escape. She uses her wit and allure to win over King Charles, convincing him to allow her to persuade her brother Juan to pull back his beleaguered soldiers. Meanwhile, Pope Alexander VI anxiously anticipates the outcome as Charles approaches the city and heads straight for the Vatican.
