Title: The Mystery of the Nine Dolls Plot: Perry's serene fishing getaway in Scotland takes an unexpected turn when he encounters seven-year-old Peggy Smith. Residing in a boarding school, Peggy is on a quest to uncover her true lineage, having no knowledge of her biological parents. Upon investigation, Perry suspects that Peggy is the offspring of Clark Lawson and Margaret Jeffers Lawson, whose wealthy father, Courtney Jeffers, disowned her for marrying Clark. Tragically, both parents passed away shortly after Peggy's birth. However, when the bitter Jeffers meets Peggy, he softens and revises his will in her favor. The following day, he is found murdered, struck down by a fireplace poker.
