Episode Overview

Della approaches Perry for $25,000 to help her friend Janet Brent, who is facing blackmail. An employee of Janet's husband, Edward Franklin, has fabricated scandalous images of her in a motel. During a party, Janet confronts Franklin and strikes him with a small statue of a "weary watchdog." When the police arrive, they find Della driving Janet's car away from the scene, leading to her arrest. Franklin is discovered dead, having been hit three times on the head with the statue. Perry takes on Janet's defense, fully aware that a loss could result in Della being charged as an accessory.
