Episode Overview
Alice Trilling's late father left behind an unusual stipulation in his will: she can inherit his thriving toy company only if she marries or gets engaged within a year. Until then, her wheelchair-bound Uncle Harry and the board of directors will manage the business. Alice faces a significant challenge in her quest for love, as she openly acknowledges her lack of attractiveness. However, when an artist begins to show interest in her, Alice starts to believe happiness might be within reach. Complicating matters, Uncle Harry secretly meddles in her romantic life for his own reasons. After Alice confronts him and pushes his wheelchair in anger, she flees, only to be arrested later when Uncle Harry is found dead. Perry takes on her defense, but it's a tough case, especially since Alice doubts her own innocence.
