Title: The Mystery of the Speeding Saboteur Plot: Test driver Pete Griston wrecks a high-performance car created by renowned builder Pappy Ryan. In a fit of anger, Pappy blames Havey Rettig for sabotaging the vehicle and takes legal action against both Rettig and Griston. Soon after, Rettig is murdered, and Pete is discovered dazed and confused next to the lifeless body.
