"Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor." A Polish-American scholar travels to Warsaw to participate in an ethics seminar. Following the lecture, she confronts Zofia, the speaker, revealing that she is the Jewish girl Zofia declined to protect during the Second World War. However, Zofia's decision, which seemed like cowardice, is rooted in a deeply compelling justification that sheds light on her past.
