During the confrontation with Zeruel, Shinji reaches an astonishing synchronization rate of 400% with EVA-01, resulting in catastrophic consequences. As the EVA transforms into a godlike entity, Shinji becomes trapped within its depths. Meanwhile, Ritsuko desperately works to bring him back, but her efforts prove futile against the overwhelming power of the EVA.
