Britain's Secret Seas (2011)

Episode Overview

Goldman, Horn, Calhoun, and Pointer are making their way back to base after a two-day stint in the rear when their jeep strikes a mine, injuring Calhoun and Pointer. The explosion also blinds Goldman when a fire extinguisher detonates right in front of him. A squad of VC arrives and opens fire, resulting in the deaths of Calhoun and Pointer. Horn pursues the last surviving VC and discovers she is a woman. He takes her back to the hut where Goldman waits in darkness. After some heated discussion, Horn decides to seek help for his injured friend. The woman manages to signal nearby villagers, and Goldman, now blind, is forced to use her as a guide, fashioning his rifle to her head as they navigate through perilous territory filled with starving families and hostile VC, even encountering American troops who fire at them. Tragically, by the time Horn reaches them, the woman has succumbed in Goldman's arms, leaving him heartbroken
