Episode Overview

In the field, Percell manages to capture a VC while Doc and another soldier keep watch. Suddenly, a second VC launches an attack on Danny, and as the first VC seizes a weapon, Doc hesitates to shoot, despite being the only one armed. This inaction leads to the death of a third American soldier. When Colonel Brewster returns for the Phu An inquiry, Doc finds himself shunned by his comrades, who doubt his reliability. After Pop confronts Brewster, Goldman speaks with him. Meanwhile, after 22 days, Ruiz and Taylor emerge from the jungle. Doc learns he’s being transferred for being "unreliable" and spirals into a drinking binge with Pop. Ruiz discovers that Suzanne has had a breakdown, believing he was lost.
