Episode Overview

Carl Robinson, an Immortal, first crossed paths with MacLeod in 1929 when he was rescued from a KKK lynch mob. Back then, Carl was brimming with ambition, dreaming of becoming a Major League Baseball player or even the President. However, years later, he has lost all hope. Their reunion occurs when Carl steals Charlie's car, prompting MacLeod to try to reignite Carl's self-belief, but Carl is resistant. When a white officer named Carter attempts to kill him, Carl initially sees it as an act of racism. MacLeod then reveals the existence of the Watchers who are after them. With the help of Carter’s partner, Carl manages to defeat Carter and decides to give life another shot.
