Episode Overview

After a religious figure, John Kirin, unexpectedly dies on Anne's operating table and then miraculously revives, his followers believe a divine intervention has taken place. However, MacLeod knows the truth; he witnessed Kirin, previously known as Kage, commit atrocities during the Spanish Civil War and abandon Cambodian refugee children to the Khmer Rouge. Kirin claims that his past has transformed him from a warrior into a peacemaker. When a tabloid journalist turns up dead in MacLeod's dojo, MacLeod is convinced Kirin is involved. Kirin insists he's innocent and soon discovers that it was Matthew, one of his devoted followers, who killed the reporter to shield him. In a tense confrontation, Matthew fatally shoots Kirin before being gunned down by police. In the end, Kirin and MacLeod find a moment of reconciliation as Kirin sets out to spread goodwill.
