Episode Overview
Michelle Webster, the headstrong daughter of one of MacLeod's friends, storms out of her parents' home in anger and drives off a cliff. Trauma surgeon Anne Lindsey does everything she can to save her, but it's too late. MacLeod rushes to the hospital to support his grieving friends and, in a daring move, sneaks their newly Immortal daughter out of the morgue. As he attempts to teach her about her new life, Michelle is more interested in having fun. She encounters Immortal Axel Whittaker, who lures her with promises of excitement. Flashbacks reveal Axel's dark side, using stunning new Immortals to ensnare others for their heads—something MacLeod narrowly escaped in 1896 Boston. Axel manipulates Michelle into drawing MacLeod to his yacht, reigniting their ancient rivalry. After defeating Axel, Michelle witnesses the raw power of the Quickening and decides to train as an Immortal under Amanda's guidance.
