Grampa gets tangled up with a pair of swindlers while dealing with a dog. He soon figures out their scheme to take advantage of him. With the assistance of George MacMichael, they outsmart the con artists. At the same time, the McCoy family grows increasingly fond of the dog, Mac, who ultimately becomes a beloved member of their household.
