Title: Catherine Howard & Catherine Parr Plot: In 1539, following four unsuccessful marriages and just one frail son along with two daughters to carry on his legacy, Henry VIII became infatuated with the alluring young Catherine Howard, a first cousin of his second wife, Anne Boleyn. Yet, Catherine harbored a secretive romantic history. In the more nurturing and older Catherine Parr, Henry believed he had discovered the ideal partner. However, as historians Suzannah Lipscomb and Dan Jones recount, her attempts to advocate for religious changes nearly led her to the brink of execution.
