Episode Overview
In their quest for a robot to compete in the tournament, Kaito and Akiho discover an old Tanegashi Machine hobby robot tucked away in storage, but its batteries are dead. Akiho visits Tetsuharu 'Doc' Fujita, an elderly technician, to find new parts, but they're priced too high. Kaito enlists the help of shopkeeper Mizuka Irei to uncover any vulnerabilities Doc might have to negotiate a better deal. This leads Akiho to meet Doc's granddaughter, Junna Daitoku, who isn't much help. However, Akiho secures the necessary parts with her allowance, promising to pay back with their prize money. After fixing the robot, they practice controlling it, but Kaito must also manage Akiho's 'elephant mouse syndrome'—a condition from a past accident that causes her time perception to distort.
