Episode Overview

Not long ago, Mark's new wife Sophie exited the car in horror, tearfully exclaiming, "He's dreadful!" As we dive into the fifth season of this delightfully irreverent comedy, Mark (David Mitchell) drowns his sorrows in wedding champagne, while his roommate Jeremy (Robert Webb) pushes him to join a double date: "You can't be picky, she's an actual woman." Remember, this is a guy who once formulated his dating approach using the tactics from the Siege of Stalingrad. Armed with a British Museum magazine, Mark sets out once more in pursuit of romance.
