Episode Overview

Dr. Brown is taken aback when he learns about Ephram and Madison's relationship. Though he considers firing her, Madison chooses to resign instead, leaving the Browns with a gloomy holiday season. Delia, meanwhile, finds out about her father's complicated connection with Linda Abbott, adding to the family's distress. As Thanksgiving unfolds, Dr. Abbott's irritation with his difficult mother-in-law (guest star Betty White) escalates when Amy shows up with Tommy (Paul Wasilewski) in tow. Eventually overwhelmed, Amy decides to leave home in search of peace.
