Following the sale of their home, Nina and Sam find themselves staying with the Browns for a while. Before proposing to Nina, Andy feels the need to address some lingering personal matters, prompting him to embark on a secretive journey. Bright is heartbroken to discover that Hannah has been awarded a scholarship to Notre Dame, fearing she might take the opportunity. Meanwhile, Edna's announcement about her intention to leave Everwood leaves Harold and Rose feeling unsettled. Delia, on the other hand, is overjoyed with the late Bat Mitzvah gift from Andy.
