After the police hit a wall in a child molestation case, Maxine finds crucial evidence that could reopen the investigation. Lauren expresses her discontent with Amy's job as a working mother, leading Amy to demand a formal apology after the inquiry into her relationship with Bruce is closed due to lack of evidence. Tensions rise when Amy confronts a verbally abusive father at a soccer game after overseeing a heartbreaking case involving a teenager's deceased infant.
