Doug gets the itch for a new car and, despite Carrie's warnings, makes the purchase. Moments after buying it, he learns that the IPS workers are going on strike. In his attempts to return the car, he meets with failure, leaving Carrie to pick up the slack by working extra hours to make up for his blunder.
