Episode Overview
A wealthy man's wife is abducted, leading to the death of the gardener who attempts to rescue her. Detectives Hunter and McCall delve into the case, but the husband is solely focused on her safe return and agrees to pay the ransom. Although she is released, her questioning yields little information. In secret, she reconnects with her lover, the kidnapper, and mourns the loss of the gardener. He reminds her of the prenup she was forced to sign. When the husband's secretary uncovers their plot and attempts to extort them, she is silenced. As she contemplates coming forward, he tries to eliminate her, but Hunter intervenes just in time. The husband later vows to protect her, feeling responsible for the chaos that ensued.
