Locals have reported witnessing ghostly figures and hearing the sounds of marching footsteps carried by the wind. In Kirvat Yam, Israel, a massive reward of one million dollars is up for grabs for anyone who can provide photographic evidence of a mermaid. Numerous residents have recounted terrifying encounters with a creature resembling a humanoid, featuring a scaled body and a fluked tail that splashes in the waves at sunset.
