Caitlin and Thunderbird race against time to help a mutant wounded during the Inner Circle's tumultuous rescue operation at a psychiatric hospital. In the process, they uncover hints about the identity of the formidable mutant Polaris, whom Andy and Polaris were tasked to find. Simultaneously, Jace teams up with the Purifiers to hunt the mutants who have escaped, putting him perilously close to crossing paths with the Mutant Underground once more.
