After a bizarre lightning storm, Tyler discovers he can hear people's thoughts. At first, he revels in his newfound ability, exploiting it to amass wealth and fulfill his desires. However, he soon realizes that this power has its drawbacks. Convinced that Shannon is after a wealthy partner, Tyler manipulates the stock market using his gift. He is taken aback by the unforeseen repercussions, particularly when he tries to connect with others mentally as they begin to pull away from him.
