Episode Overview
With Dwayne away, Whitley splurges on a $700 suit for an upcoming job interview but ends up not landing the position and accidentally stains the outfit, which she intended to return the next day. Freddie suggests filing for unemployment, but Whitley’s haughty demeanor frustrates the claims officer due to her lack of knowledge about the process. Fed up with the hassle, Whitley decides to take matters into her own hands, selling off appliances and taking a telemarketing job. Meanwhile, the women’s literature group discusses Terry McMillan’s Waiting to Exhale. Dorian makes a memorable entrance with Terrell, impressing Lena. Charmaine boasts about her romance with Lance but finds herself comforted by Lena after he abruptly ends their relationship over the phone. Ron and Freddie struggle to carve out private moments together.
