Episode Overview

An affluent art collector acquires a stolen masterpiece from a thief, depicting a man during the Spanish Inquisition. Soon after, the collector, Harte, is approached by a mysterious figure who implores him to atone for his sins and relinquish the ill-gotten artwork. Dismissing the warnings, Harte becomes trapped within the painting, facing torment as a heretic. He ultimately confesses to the Inquisitor, who allows him to escape. However, back in reality, Harte refuses to part with the painting, prompting a visit from the Inquisitor. Meanwhile, the thief returns, but Harte has vanished... from this world.
