Episode Overview

Simon encounters Emily Page, a former nurse who has ties to his grandfather Charlie. As their friendship develops, he learns that Emily, suffering from severe arthritis, intends to end her life when her condition deteriorates to a point where she feels she’s a burden. Meanwhile, Terence convinces Pat Turner to admit her difficult father, Artie, to the hospital, allowing her a much-needed break. Once there, Artie clashes with his nurse, Brendan, in a battle of wills. Bill Ferguson continues his regular visits to Sandra in the hospital, and Molly surprises everyone by purchasing a sick, old cow, leaving Vicky quite unhappy.
