Heartbroken widower Daniel Calder takes legal action against Officer Paul Evans, the officer responsible for shooting his defenseless husband. Meanwhile, Daniel’s adopted daughter, Jira, seeks to establish a relationship with her biological mother, Tia Young, who wrestles with her feelings about the reunion. Additionally, Paul is partnered with a new colleague on the police force, Officer Diego Carranza.
