Matilda, Mary's heavily pregnant friend who isn't married, moves into the Bradford home as she looks for a new apartment. However, her views on marriage trouble Tom. As Matilda experiences the joys of impending motherhood, Tom steps in to assist with the delivery of her baby. Meanwhile, Tom is frustrated when Susan decides to spend the weekend with her boyfriend at Square Valley.
