Meanwhile, Abby is reluctant to introduce her former father-in-law to Tom and share her intentions of marrying him. In an attempt to help, David sets up a deal for Tom to purchase an engagement ring for Abby through a colleague, but things quickly escalate, making it more complicated than expected.
