Tom and Abby think Susan is feeling down due to Merle's absence, only to discover she's actually pregnant. The girls make an effort to lift her spirits. Meanwhile, Joannie encounters a psychic and organizes a séance to support Susan. Just as Merle returns to win her back, he learns the surprising news about the baby. In another subplot, Ernie and Tommy decide to use Nicholas as a decoy to attract girls.
