Episode Overview

Upon receiving the news of her mother's passing, Murphy appears surprisingly composed, leading the FYI team to suspect she's suppressing her emotions. She explains that her mother wrote her a letter instructing her not to cry and promising to visit one last time that evening. Determined to honor Avery's memory, Murphy and the Phil crew decide to celebrate her life. Murphy's father, Bill Brown, arrives and proposes they return home to reminisce about their shared joyful moments. Back at Murphy's place, Eldin struggles with the reality of Avery's death, unable to accept it. After he leaves, Murphy and her father open a large trunk left to her by Avery, revealing a photo album and Murphy's cherished Indian blanket among other belongings. Following a heated discussion with her father about their past, Murphy discovers a small box inside the trunk containing one of Avery's hats. She tries it on and finds another wrapped box inside, suggesting a gift awaits her.
