Episode Overview

The out-of-work staff members feel it would be an insult to the network if they assisted Jim and his crew. Miller expresses a desire to take over Murphy's office. Meanwhile, Miles updates Lansing on the current situation, but when Lansing offers some guidance, Miles turns it down. Lansing reveals that FYI is returning, with Jim at the helm, and the network has decided to allow them to tackle the tobacco story. In a surprising twist, Charles Kuralt will assume Jim's duties at ICN. Impressed by Miles' tough approach, Lansing proposes a significant job opportunity in New York City, which Miles eagerly accepts.
