Murphy Brown (1988)

Episode Overview

Miller's controlling mother threatens to disown him because he hasn't gotten married and she sees him as a fool. In an effort to win her approval, Miller tells her that he and Murphy are close friends. However, since Murphy feels uneasy around Miller, his mother begins to suspect their relationship might be deeper than friendship. Miller doesn't outright deny her insinuations, leaving things ambiguous.
