Episode Overview

An ambitious engineer known for his remarkable skills is determined to conquer one of America's most turbulent rivers, aiming to supply essential water to the dry regions of the West. He faces an unhappy crew, treacherous conditions, and daunting engineering obstacles along the way. However, upon completion, the Hoover Dam will stand as a monumental structure, towering 60 stories high, using more resources than the Great Pyramid, and containing enough concrete to wrap around the globe.
