In Baton Rouge, a string of murders targeting women prompts the police to create a suspect profile, focusing their DNA tests on white men in the area. However, the investigation takes a turn when one of the victims manages to survive and informs the detectives that they are looking in the wrong direction. She insists that the real killer does not fit the profile they have been pursuing.
