S03E05 Survivor
Episode Overview
The episode kicks off with the investigation into the murder of Prison Officer Charlie Tyner, discovered shot dead in a Hackney council estate. As the inquiry unfolds, it becomes clear that Tyner wasn't the upstanding officer he appeared to be; instead, he was corrupt and misusing his authority within the prison. While numerous inmates had motives to kill him, their solid alibis complicate the case. Crown Prosecutors James Steel and Alesha Phillips clash with their superior, George Castle, who is determined to find Tyner's killer. However, James and Alesha believe Tyner's misconduct should influence the case. They set their sights on a notorious criminal linked to Tyner, hoping to persuade a key witness—who has feelings for the suspect—to testify.
