Episode Overview

Anthony comes from a large, affectionate family that has endured significant heartache. The tragic loss of his sister to a heroin overdose has shattered them all. In the wake of her death, Anthony, who had previously dabbled in lighter drugs, turned to cocaine to escape the pain. He has also developed a serious addiction to injecting methadone, a potent opioid similar to heroin and morphine, alternating between the two substances around the clock. His father lets him work at one of his pizzerias but often withholds payment, fearing Anthony will spend it on drugs. When he does receive money, Anthony frequently disregards his father's concerns. His father is desperate for him to seek help, while his mother, still grappling with their daughter's loss, struggles with the emotional and physical toll of Anthony's addiction. Other family members, including siblings, uncles, and cousins, have united to stage an intervention, hoping to steer Anthony away from his destructive path.
