Episode Overview

Every day, Sandra isolates herself in the garage, consuming a mix of painkillers, antidepressants, antipsychotics, and sleeping pills. Her addiction has driven her two sons, aged 17 and 11, to leave home. Meanwhile, her best friend, Julie, who battles multiple sclerosis, has moved in to help manage the household chores. Together with Sandra's husband, Dan, they carefully monitor her medication intake, aware that they are enabling her but terrified of the consequences if they stop. As Sandra's family contemplates an intervention, they worry whether she will ever prioritize them over her addiction.
