Episode Overview

At the age of eight, Angelina's family fractured due to a dispute about finances. In the wake of this turmoil, her mother sought solace in prescription medications and cocaine. Once she finished high school, Angelina assumed the role of legal guardian for her younger brother, but the responsibility of caring for him and their struggling mother quickly became too much for her. As a result, Angelina fell into an addiction to OxyContin, depleting her $350,000 trust fund on the drug. Eventually, she resorted to cheaper alternatives, including heroin, to fuel her growing dependency.
