Episode Overview

Norman P. Curtis, the president of C&F W Railroad, is furious that his top troubleshooter, Homer Bedloe, failed to dismantle the Hooterville Cannonball. Determined to take action, he decides to do the job himself while disguising his identity. However, his plan goes awry when he stumbles in a field, resulting in a torn and soiled suit and the loss of his wallet, making him appear like a drifter to Kate and the townsfolk. Yet, after experiencing Kate's warmth and generosity, Curtis begins to rethink his mission.
