Petticoat Junction (1963)

Episode Overview

Kate receives a telegram from Railroad President Norman Curtis, informing her that he’s sending Homer Bedloe along with a peculiar companion named Fred. To Kate’s surprise, Fred turns out to be Mr. Curtis' elderly basset hound, whom Curtis believes needs a refreshing escape to the countryside. He also hopes Bedloe will learn to be more amiable. However, Bedloe devises a scheme to "ruin" Fred, intending to send him back in worse condition to tarnish Curtis' opinion of Shady Rest. Kate, determined to uplift Fred’s spirits, also concocts a plan to undermine Bedloe's intentions.
