Episode Overview

In Episode 050, Dr. Fermin informs Loretta that she has unexpectedly entered spontaneous remission. Meanwhile, Charlie hatches a scheme to raise funds to delay their eviction by selling raffle tickets for a color television that he and Loretta don't actually possess. Martha remains skeptical of George's assertion that union officials in Milwaukee set him up. Loretta and Mary come to the conclusion that Mary's strength lies in her communication skills. When Tiny discovers Charlie selling the raffle tickets, he orders him to leave. Tom steps in, but Tiny threatens him with termination, leading to Charlie striking Tiny, who collapses unconscious.
