Uncle Joe misuses Kate's funds to purchase large quantities of cheap, foul-smelling cologne in hopes of flipping it for a quick profit. The money was originally meant to install screens in the hotel to deter mosquitoes and attract more guests. Realizing the situation, Kate devises a clever plan to offload all the cologne to salesmen Mr. Blake and Mr. Gordon, who intend to market it as an insect repellent.
