Detective Johnson suggests that Annie is involved in a local prostitution ring and plans to leverage an outdated city law to force her out of Fernwood. Meanwhile, Cathy is thrilled to have Brian on board as her natural childbirth coach. Charlie makes a return to Fernwood and sneaks off to see Mary, who hands him a note from Loretta and Jody, leading to a misunderstanding between them.
