In Dayton, Jake visits Lou's diner, where the amnesiac Loretta, now calling herself Lulu, is unfairly branded as promiscuous. Lou, the diner owner, and regular patron Mac Slattery take her under their wing. Meanwhile, Wanda confides in Mary about her newfound method for ultimate satisfaction, claiming she can teach it to any man. Little Garth causes chaos by soaking Pat with a hose and locking her out of Mary's kitchen. Montgomery Monk tries to bring George back to his old grumpy self. Mary’s New Year’s Eve party turns chaotic as Annie announces her departure from Fernwood and a tipsy Tom reveals he’s been let go from his job.
