Martha's launch of her pet-sitting business sends George into a panic when he discovers a monkey and a tarantula in his kitchen. Meanwhile, complications brew as lawyer Darcy Pinker insists Cathy sign a contract prior to her delivery, and Dr. Fermin informs her he won't be available for the birth. Tom persuades Charlie to enlist Merle's help in locating Loretta. Loretta charms Lou out of cash while flirting with Mac. In the midst of this, a state trooper arrives at the diner searching for Loretta, but Lou denies having seen her.
