Episode Overview

As the new semester kicks off at Hooterville High, seven girls and one boy join the roster. Bobbie Jo feels sympathetic towards the lone boy, Walter Thorp, who finds himself the only male in her home economics class. Attracted to the sporty Walter, she aims to make him feel included. Together with Betty Jo, they attempt to arrange a class switch for Walter, but their efforts are in vain. With a home ec exam looming—where students must whip up a complete dinner for their fictitious spouse's imaginary boss in just twenty minutes—Kate devises a clever plan to ensure Walter passes.
