Episode Overview

Floyd has fallen head over heels and finally shares his feelings with Kate, keeping the girl's identity a secret. He later tells Steve that he popped the question and received a yes. Floyd requests a rather unconventional favor: to have a double wedding and honeymoon. Uncle Joe, who dabbled in private investigation, thinks he can figure out who the girl is, but Kate has a more reliable source—Selma, the town's biggest gossip. Selma reveals that she is indeed the girl. When she mentions that they would have to leave Hooterville and Floyd would have to part with the Cannonball, he decides to call off the wedding entirely.
